A bond of brotherhood. The Men’s collection takes up its summer residence on the outskirts of Paris in a raw, wasteland-like setting where the season’s playlist resounds.
The bleached, lilac and acid washed variations on denim remind of the 90’s and their prevailing music genres. Tie-dye fabrics and layerings of stripes and patterns are reminiscent of Grunge signatures while neon colors and sportswear items with graphic details evoke the spectrum of Techno.
The attitude is laidback, almost nonchalant. Straight cuts give rise to looser volumes coming from workwear and skateboard culture. Pocket trousers uncover new lengths, sweaters, overshirts and logo hoodies are tied at the waist, tops and bottoms in matching prints, color blocks or fabrics turn into uniforms.
From a sequin-inspired print and a postcard-like sweatshirt to a terry cloth bomber jacket, this wardrobe is built upon pieces assembled as summer and concerts memories. Isabel Marant celebrates music and its new Men collection along the Seine banks on June 21st.
