Dubai Chambers has unveiled new plans to establish new country-specific business councils operating in Dubai and expand their roles to support ongoing efforts to boost Dubai’s non-oil foreign trade and create new channels of economic cooperation between business communities in the emirate and promising markets around the world.
Representing the Government Department, Hussain Al Fardan, Head of Innovation Center, the innovator of the Smart Customs Deterrence Drone, Adel Al-Suwaidi, Director, and Technical Support Department, who delivered a presentation on integrating the deterrence drone with the Siyaj border control system, and Khalid Al Zarouni, Innovation Specialist. Dubai Customs Innovation Center, who presented the process of evaluating innovations in Dubai Customs.
Dubai Land Department’s (DLD) distinguished presence and its presentation of its innovative initiatives and services saw the department signing multiple MoUs and partnerships at the 22nd edition of Dubai’s Cityscape Global 2022, the largest and most important real estate exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa.
Dubai Customs launched an awareness campaign around their digital services and creative projects and systems that facilitate the traffic of tourists and passengers. The aim of the campaign is to educate passengers at the Al-Maktoum International Airport about the smart systems that enable them complete their travel procedures in minutes; thus saving time amid the growing number of passengers using the airport due to the winter season in the UAE, Dubai Shopping Festival (15 Dec. 2022 to 29 Jan. 2023) and the world cup in Qatar. Tens of thousands of fans are using the airport to go from Dubai to Qatar and vice versa during the world cup period.
