Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, day two of the 2018 Mohamed bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations opened this morning with a rousing assembly from H.E. Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Cabinet Member and Minister of State for Higher Education and H.E. Nasser bin Thani Juma Al Hamli, Cabinet Member and Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has been fuelling the UAE’s journey to the stars since its inception, and has recently made significant strides in achieving the country’s goal of becoming a leading spacefaring nation. This year, two Emiratis were chosen to be the first in space, with the aim of flying to the International Space Station in April 2019. The UAE has committed to further develop their locally-grown capacities as well, with the Hope probe set to arrive on Mars in 2021 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the UAE.

Al Mouj Golf recently hosted a day full of fun for families as part of its sixth-year anniversary celebrations. The event took place at Al Mouj Golf Waterside lawn and saw entertainment for all the family including popular super heroes performing live in a special stage show, face painting, bouncy castles, a BBQ cooking burgers and other snacks and complimentary rounds of golf.

A dazzling Closing Carnival presented by Emirates NBD in association with EMAAR will mark the end of another successful Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) this weekend. The two-day event, which will be held at Dubai’s most spectacular venues, Burj Park and Dubai Opera in Downtown Dubai, will take place on Friday 23 November from 2pm to 10pm, and Saturday 24 November from 1pm to 8pm. The whole city is invited, and Carnival goers of all ages and fitness abilities will enjoy a huge range of exciting activities including fitness classes and a chance to win at many competitions.
