Last year, that date was August 22 – reflecting a 9.3% reduction of humanity's Ecological Footprint from January 1st to Earth Overshoot Day compared to 2019. This year’s date represents a ten percent increase and sets the Earth back to pre-pandemic levels of resource usage. The UAE’s own Earth Overshoot Day was on March 7th of this year.

Bayt.com, the Middle East's #1 job site, has recently conducted the ‘Employee Loyalty in the MENA Survey’ in partnership with YouGov, global online market research company, in order to investigate the key factors driving employee loyalty towards the workplace. Data revealed that nearly two-thirds of employees (64%) in the UAE feel loyal to their current employer. Only 16% reported not feeling loyal, while the remainder were neutral.
