du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), has announced the launch of an e-Shop, a new digital platform that can be availed by SME corporates in the UAE. This will enable them to on-board new mobile services for themselves and their employees with free and fast delivery within 48 hours, as well as other products and services through an end-to-end digital experience.

The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), has pledged a $1 million dollar solidarity fund to help startups that are under strain due to the coronavirus pandemic. In honor of the #UbuntuLoveChallenge, a global initiative spearheaded by H.E Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi and thought leader, Mamadou Kwidjim Toure, founder of the Africa 2.0 Foundation, the fund will aid startups ensuring they remain afloat, and tide over these uncertain times. The fund will be distributed through equity-free grants and commissioned projects.

GoDaddy, the company that empowers everyday entrepreneurs around the world, launched its first localized digital marketing campaign featuring renowned Turkish actor Barış Arduç. Zbooni, the home-grown SME business platform, is reporting a spike in interest for its mobile payment technology, as retailers look for ways to conduct business beyond the traditional storefront. The company, which offers a suite of business tools for retailers, such as mobile payment links that can be shared via WhatsApp, has seen a 33% increase in downloads and is witnessing record transactions since the global coronavirus pandemic began.
